CARE fights poverty and social injustice in the world’s most vulnerable places. Founded in 1985,
CARE International UK is one of 16 full members of the global CARE International confederation. It
supports the work of the confederation. This is done through a programme of support and
expertise. It also involves fundraising, global policy, and advocacy work. They do this by working in
partnership with local organisations. It delivers humanitarian and development assistance to
anyone in need, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, age, religion, political view, or sexual
orientation.

Problem

Stuart Davis Consulting was appointed to help transform their systems, processes, and
procedures. This was to improve the performance of the finance function.

Solution

Stuart Davis Consulting will ensure the following key deliverables are met:

Identify and diagnose the key areas requiring improvement.
Produce an improvement map and with the client agree the timetable to deliver those changes.
Ensure all improvements are implemented and integrated as agreed.
Assist with any clean up as required.
Train and develop staff to take forward any new processes.

Result

This project is ongoing. The Stuart Davis Consulting team have agreed with Care International UK
on an implementation plan. The plan will move at a pace that suits the charity’s ongoing
demands.
